For Those Who Come After.
Shaped like a sheep, but with a human face and tiger fangs. It favours the greedy. The never-satisfied are let close, welcomed like its own, while the content, who earn by honest toil, it swallows one by one. And it does not eat only flesh. The fire you hurl, the lightning you call down, the ice you seal it in: every art, in its mouth, is a meal. The deadliest thing in your hands feeds the very thing you meant to end, and the harder you throw everything you have, the faster it grows. Its hunters plan around its claws and its speed and miss the one thing that matters: the more they feed it, the harder it is to kill. No one has ever taken its heart, so what it grants is only rumour. Some say you would gain its all-devouring body, nothing left in the world that could wound you. But the rumour has a second half: you would take its hunger too. The content die first. The greedy live. It picks its prey in its own image.
形如羊，却生人面，虎齿。它食人，且越食越强。 它偏爱贪婪之徒。劫掠成性、永不知足的，它容其近身，仿佛同类。反倒是那些知足惜物、勤恳营生的人，一个个被它吞入腹中。 它不止吃血肉。你掷来的火，劈下的雷，封来的冰，一切术法入口皆是食粮。你手中最凶的杀招，喂饱的偏偏是它。越是倾尽全力，它长得越快。杀它的人算准了它的爪牙脚程，却算不到：他们越是喂它，它便越是杀不死。 从没有人取过它的心，食之能得什么，至今只是传言。有人猜，你会得它那副吞尽万法的身子，天下再无一物能伤你分毫。可传言还有后半句：你也会得它那份饥饿。 知足者先死，贪婪者得活，它照着自己的模样挑人。
