For Those Who Come After.
Shaped like a wildcat, with a single eye and three tails. The strangest thing about it is its voice. It does not mimic sound, it robs it. Every sound it has ever heard, it takes and hoards, and when it opens its mouth a hundred pour out at once, as if the whole mountain's noise were gathered in one throat. Wind, the cries of beasts, the speech of men: it steals them all. But its true weapon is not the theft. It is the release. Everything it has hoarded pours out at once, and it lands as force, not sound: a wall of pressure that splits stone. Anyone close feels a sudden heat inside the ear, then blood, then a silence they never come back from. Eat its heart and you gain that shattering voice. One furious cry strikes out like something solid, bursting eardrums, leaving a man deaf and reeling on his feet. But the more you hoard and the harder you loose it, the more your own voice is drowned beneath the roar. In the end you can deafen a whole mountain, and no one is left who can hear you speak.
形如野猫，独目一只，尾分三条。它最奇的，是那副嗓子。它不是学声，而是夺声。凡它听过的声响，皆被它掠去藏起，一开口，百声齐发，仿佛整座山的声音都攒在它一副喉咙里。 风声，兽鸣，人语，它都偷得。你听见的从来不是它，而是它偷来的一切。可它真正的杀器，不在偷，而在放。它将满腔积攒的声一并倾出，那不再是声音，而是一堵看不见的墙。百声齐发之下，气浪裂石，离得近的，耳中一热，血自双耳涌出，从此坠入一片死寂。 食其心者，得那震耳之能。你一声怒喝，声浪便如实质般砸出，震碎人的耳鼓，教他两耳失聪，天旋地转，站都站不稳。可你偷得越多、放得越狠，你自己的声音，也一次次被这怒吼盖过，越来越轻。 到最后，你能震聋整座山，却再没人听得见你说话。
