For Those Who Come After.
Shaped like a dog, its coat is as thick and shaggy as a bear's. Blind and deaf from birth, it wanders in endless circles, head thrown back, laughing at an empty sky. It has no true shape. Dog and bear are only skins it happens to wear, for it was born without form at all. Every bone obeys its will, stretching and splitting at a thought, and when it kills, bone tears out through its own flesh and hardens into a spear, a blade, a hook at will. Though blind and deaf, it never mistakes the heart of a man. The honest draw its fangs without fail, while the deceitful are met with quiet affection. The truer your heart, the swifter your death. The greater your falsehoods, the safer you are by its side. Whoever eats its heart inherits its formless gift. At a single thought, your bones twist and lengthen into blades, spears, or whatever weapon you desire. But the price is silence: from that day forward, no sound will ever reach you again. Not a voice. Not the wind. Not the cry of a living thing.
状如犬，长毛似罴。有眼却看不见，有耳却听不闻。终日空转，仰头朝天而笑。 它没有定形。犬也好，罴也好，都不过是它随手披上的一副躯壳。它能将自己扭成血肉长不出的形状，因为它本就无形，一身骨头尽随它心意，说长就长，说改就改。要杀人时，白骨自皮肉中破体而出，随心成矛、成刃、成钩。 它是个瞎子，聋子，却偏偏认得出人心。遇上心正行端的，它便扑上去撕咬；遇上奸滑欺诈的，它反倒温顺依偎，寸步相随。越是老实的人，越是它的猎物；越是说谎的人，越在它身边安稳。 食其心者，得其无形之能：一身骨骼皆随己意，能自血肉中生出骨刃为兵。只是自此以后，天地之间，你再也听不见任何声响。 不闻人语，不闻风声，不闻一切生灵。
