Shaped like a crane, standing on a single leg, with a blue-green body, crimson markings, and a white beak. Wherever it goes, fire begins on its own. No spark. No cause. A sound roof beam, a field of grain, simply catches alight. By the time a town realises the strange one-legged bird and the sourceless fires are one and the same, half of it has already turned to ash. The bird is long gone. It does not merely kindle fire. It commands it. Every flame beneath heaven, whether near or distant, great or small, answers its will. Gathered together, they become a sea of fire. Scattered apart, they streak like meteors across the sky. Where they go is decided by a single thought. Eat its heart, and you inherit the power to kindle fire from nothing and command every flame beneath heaven. At a thought, fire is born wherever you point, and every flame already burning bends to your will. But you will only ever start fires. When the burning stops is never yours to decide. You can set anything alight from nothing, yet never put out a single flame.
